In the individual phase of the project, I worked on the collection, organisation and visual representation of information as a method for research and design development. I started by analysing and interpreting a specific object of study, either a podcast or an exhibition. From there, the research expanded beyond the initial material, exploring new directions based on my own interests and connections identified during the group work. I chose to focus on the evolution of hair dryer design, under the title Hot Air and Beyond – 100 Years of Hair Dryer Design. The project examines how the hair dryer has changed over time, in form, function and communication, reflecting shifts in technology, aesthetics and daily routines. After the collaborative stage, which focused on mapping and organising information, I developed a digital proposal individually. I created a prototype of the website that presents the research content through a visual and interactive format, relating data, interface and audience.
